Legality on the Frontlines of Administrative Decision-Making

On Thursday, March 25 (2021), Matija Žgur (Università Roma Tre, Italia) will present the paper Legality on the Frontlines of Administrative Decision-Making y for further discussion with attendees.
Matija Žgur is PhD in Human Rights (University of Palermo) & Legal Philosophy (University of Girona). He also hold a Master degree in Legal Philosophy (University of Genoa) and a basic law degree (University of Ljubljana). He is currently a postdoc Research Fellow in Legal Philosophy at the Department of Law, Roma Tre University (Rome, Italy). And serves as co-Editor of Revus. Journal for Constitutional Theory and Philosophy of Law as well as a member of the drafting committee at Diritto & Questioni Pubbliche.
The author deals with the decision-making practices of frontline administrative officials. In particular, he examines how administrative circulars become the primary source of these officials’ decision-making norms, even when their content may be in contrast with hierarchically superior sources of law.

About the Law & Justice Workshop (TDJ)
The TDJ is a space for discussion on issues of legal and political philosophy where young researchers participate with the aim of sharing their doctoral and postdoctoral research and getting used to the interaction of academic activity.
The invitation to submit works is not limited to members of the community of the University Carlos III of Madrid, but extends to any researcher, regardless of where they came from.
